Where are the Italian Ices made?
Puma’s Italian Ices are made back home in NY, with recipes dating back 80 + years, they are then shipped down to South Carolina via freezer truck. (18 Wheeler)

What are the differences between Water and Cream Ices?

Italian Ices (Water Ices) are Gluten Free & Dairy Free fresh fruits are used where we can.

Cream Ices are half water & half milk and have a little dairy in them creating a creamy texture BUT not as think as an ice cream.

What is the sugar replacement within the Sugar Free flavors?

All Sugar Free flavors use a blend of Aspartame, Sorvitol & Maltrin as replacements. Our Italian Ice chef is a diabetic and these additives are safe for their infliction.

How many flavors do you have?

We have over 100 different flavors available BUT we only serve the most popular.

Why are flavors sometimes not available when I come into the store?

Here are Puma’s we rotate flavors in and out based on the pace they are consumed. This along with managing warehouse inventory, production & delivery schedules sometimes does not always align with your visit. For this we are apologize.

What kind of ice cream is used for the Gelatti?

Here at Puma’s Italian Ice & Hot Dog Shack, we serve a 10% Milk Fat Soft Serve ice cream. We add this to scoops of your favorite ice for a delicious treat.


What brand of hot dogs do you use?

Here at Puma’s we use Nathan’s All Beef Bun Length hot dogs.

Is your chili homemade?

Oh Yeah! Every Morning!

Does your chili contain any beans or onions?

No, we make a fresh batch of meat chili daily – no beans no onions, a true hot dog chili.

What type of buns do you use?

We prefer to serve Ball Park Golden Buns.

What is the name of your Hot Sauce?

The family chose “Hole in the Wall” Hot Sauce from our contest.

Who comes up with all these hot dog combonations?

This is a collaborative effort between the Puma Family, customer ideas & inspirations and actually some were accidents that turned into menu items like the “Kranchy”.
